Safety

Safety & privacy

ServiceHub matches people with providers across Australia. To keep things safe for everyone, please follow these few habits when posting and bidding.

Do this

  • Describe the work plainly — the room, the object, the timeframe.
  • Use suburb + postcode so providers can tell if it’s in their area.
  • Share private details (street address, phone, email, gate codes) in the in-app chat after you’ve matched, not in the public post.
  • Tap the photo button to add photos — they help bidders quote accurately.
  • Read reviews and verification badges on a provider’s profile before awarding.

Avoid this

  • Don’t put full street addresses, full names of household members, or licence/registration numbers in the public description.
  • Don’t share bank account, BSB, card details — payments stay on the platform via escrow.
  • Don’t upload photos that show other people without their consent, or images of children.
  • Don’t agree to off-platform payments to avoid fees — you lose escrow protection.
  • Don’t post anything illegal, unsafe, or that breaks our terms.

What ServiceHub stores about you

Account basics (name, email, optional phone), profile content you choose to share, job + bid history, in-app messages, and payment metadata required by Stripe to issue payouts. We don’t store full card numbers or bank details on our servers; Stripe holds those. Full detail in our privacy notice.

Australian privacy & safety resources

ServiceHub follows the Australian Privacy Principles. These independent resources are good first stops for understanding your rights or getting help.
